- SPORTS AWARDS DINNER
- Attention all Student athletes!! The sports awards dinner will take place on Monday, June 9th, after school at 4:30 pm. If you need to buy an SO card, please go to room 147. Today is the last day to pay for the Sports Awards Dinner, so get your money in as soon as possible.
- BRING CHANGE TO MIND
- The Bring Change to Mind Club will meet on Friday, 10th and 11th periods, in room 341.
- SkillsUSA
- AMT Day, hosted by SkillsUSA, is happening on Friday, May 21st! Test your shop skills, compete with teachers and friends in aviation challenges to win cool prizes. Think you’ve got what it takes? Let’s find out!
- SENIOR PORTRAITS
- Attention JUNIORS, your senior portraits will be taken by appointment from Tuesday, May 27, until June 2. The appointment schedule will be in the cafeteria, outside the general office, room 215, the auditorium, and on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floor shop wing.
- HALL OF SCIENCE TRIP
- On Friday, May 23, there will be a trip to the Hall of Science at 4 pm after school, and it is for a STEM career expo. This trip is entirely free, and light refreshments and transportation are included. Permission slips are in room 135, room 147, and the cafeteria. Please return all slips to room 147.
- SIX FLAGS
- Six Flags is now open to the entire school! Please be aware that the ELA Regents and living environments Regents are being given that day; if you are supposed to take those exams, you will not be able to attend. Permission slips are in the cafeteria.

Parents/Guardians can access their child’s classes via NYCSA (https://www.schoolsaccount.nyc/)
What if I can’t get into either account? Your child will receive a paper copy of their schedule, along with their OMNY Card, when they come to school on Wednesday, September 4 according to the schedule below.
Why aren’t the teachers and room numbers showing? That information is still subject to change. It will be present on the paper copy that your child will receive on September 4.
What should I be looking for? You should look to see that your child is not scheduled for a class that they have already passed or for a class not appropriate for their grade level. For example, a tenth year student scheduled for twelfth grade English. Or an incoming student scheduled for a class they have taken in the 8th grade.
What if I see a problem? Complete this form to let us know so we can work on making the change. Please do not expect the change to be made before you receive the paper schedule. It will take us a few days to process all program changes.
What if my child cannot remember their TeachHub password? Parents/guardians can change their child’s TeachHub password in their NYCSA account. https://www.schoolsaccount.nyc/
What if I can’t remember my parent password? There is a “Forgot Your Password?” link on the NYCSA sign in page. https://www.schoolsaccount.nyc/
What if I do not have a NYCSA account? You will have to contact our Parent Coordinator, Ms. Cordero, to set up your account. Please be patient as this is the busiest time of year.

754,000 Aviation Technician Jobs Through 2038!
The latest Boeing Pilot & Technician Outlook projects that 769,000 new maintenance technicians will be needed to fly and maintain the world fleet over the next 20 years. The forecast is inclusive of the commercial aviation, business aviation, and civil helicopter industries, and is up from last year's 20-year forecast of 754,000. Projected demand in North America is 193,000, up 2% from last year.

What if I pass?
You complete a requirement for the Career and Technical Education (CTE) endorsement, which is required to earn the Advanced Regents Diploma. Earning the CTE endorsement and the Advanced Regents Diploma improves the overall quality of your college application, improving the likelihood of getting accepted into your desired college and hopefully improving the scholarship money each college offers you.
What if I fail?
You may retake the test, next year, as a senior. Failure to ever pass the Pre-Qualifying exam means that you are not eligible for a CTE endorsement and therefore not eligible for an Advanced Regents Diploma.
